Under the shadow of the Acropolis, modern Atnens buzzes with activity. No matter what people do, the ancient rock is always there, visible around every other corner, the hub around everything revolves. The city still lives very much under the spell of its ancient citadel.
This photo was taken from the North of the Acropolis. High above Aeolou (or Aiolou) st.,one of the busiest commercial streets in Athens, the columns of the Erechtheum catch the rays of the late afternoon sun.
