Hello and my apologies for being absent for such a long time.
Today’s post is about Sounion, a unique place about which I’ve written many times before.
This time I’ll limit myself to re-posting the spectacular photography of Alexandros Maragos, which shows the Milky Way, as seen above the Temple of Poseidon in Sounion. (I learnt, belatedly, that it was featured as picture of the day by NASΑ, about a month ago.)

I’ll let you admire the photograph and the time lapse video that goes with it (click here to see it). The moving lights in the background are ferries, while the red lights to the right of Arche, are the wind turbines on Agios Georgios, another small island.
