Every year, after being cold and nasty for a few days, January always gives us a first taste of the coming spring.
Sunday was such a day – warm and sunny, it was a perfect day for a walk in the outskirts of Athens. Today’s photo was taken in Kaisariani, near an old Byzantine monastery, on the slopes of Mt. Ymittos (Hymettus), overlooking the city.
As you can see, we were not the only ones outdoors, enjoying the mild 18 °C (65 °F) and sunshine. A surprisingly bright moon, in its first quarter, hung in the clear sky above.
65 degrees? You’re either lying through your teeth or taunting us Ari. Shame on you.
